BB GREEN s.r.o. uses plant biomass to produce biomass briquettes, which it then sells to wholesale customers. The plant biomass used in the process comes from energy crops with high dry matter yields, specifically grown for this purpose, as well as from crop residue and straw.

At the end of the day, the production of biomass briquettes is beneficial to society as a whole:

• The use of renewable resources contributes to preserving and improving the environment. Biomass combustion only results in the release of CO₂ stored in the plants, which have captured it from the atmosphere in the course of their growth. Therefore, biomass combustion does not contribute to the greenhouse effect.
• Energy crop production represents a suitable replacement for growing food crops, helping to bring about a desirable restructuring of agricultural production, contributing to the protection of soil against erosion and to the maintenance of agricultural lands.
• Processing of agricultural waste and surplus products results in more efficient farming.
• Creating new jobs in rural areas increases the attractiveness of rural areas, enhancing the quality of life in the countryside.
